General Business

The General Business is a 21 week program composed of 16 credit hours.The General Business Certificate introduces students to foundational business concepts, career pathways, and workplace leadership. The curriculum covers key business terminology, management principles, ethical decision-making, and computer applications, providing students with the skills needed for entry-level business roles or further education.

 

General Business Course Sequence

This certificate program requires 16 hours of coursework as follows:

 

BUS 101 : Introduction to Business – 3 credit hours

LEAD 101 : Leadership for the Workplace – 3 credit hours

BUS 102 : Introduction to Computer and Computer Applications – 3 credit hours

BUS 103 : Principles of Management – 3 credit hours

BUS 104 : Business Ethics and Society – 3 credit hours

BUS 210 : General Business Capstone – 1 credit hour
