The Psychiatric Mental Health Technician is a 21 week program composed of 16 credit hours. This intensive certificate provides the foundational knowledge and skills for individuals seeking entry-level roles in the behavioral health settings. The program focuses on mental health care, addiction counseling, crisis intervention, recovery-oriented services, and human development. Graduates will be prepared to assist mental health professionals in clinical and community-based environments. The Psychiatric Mental Health Technician program concludes with a one-week capstone experience that equips students to sit for the National Career Certification Board’s (NCCB) Certified Mental Health Technician (CMHT) exam.
